| |
 |
Music.
Single from the album"Words", written by F. Leibovitz and S. Chouéka. Talks about standards of american pop music. |
| |
 |
Words.
The Single that travelled the whole world. All the arrangement is made with a rythmic keyboard, because the day he recorded this song, F.R.David had forgotten his guitar at home. |
| |
 |
Pick up the phone.
Single from the album "Words". Written with Farid Khaldi (Les Trèfles, Les Boots) and Richelle Dassin (Joe's sister). Delicious reminder of F.R. David's rock culture. |

 |
Les Variations : Café de Paris.
Rock album with oriental influences. Only real French intrusion into the American Rock scene . Produced by Lou Merenstein (Van Morrison). Cover by Guy Peellaert (Rock Dreams, Bowie, The Stones). Les Variations was a high energy warriors band, who really fascinated french and international scenes. F.R. David replaced Joe Lebb on this album and for a great tour. |
| |
 |

A kind of "UFO" single produced by Vangelis written by R. Dassin and F.R. David. |
| |

Really great album, recorded at "les postes Parisiens" in 30 days and nights ; Created in the meantime. F.R. David : Voices, bass guitar, percussions. Argiris : greek Luth , guitar and some bass guitars. Vangelis composed and played keyboards. R. Dassin wrote the lyrics. |
| |
 |
Humanity : Bird of love.
Single recorded at studios Europa sonor, rue de la Gaîté in Paris. Vangelis wanted to send a peace message with this song, but the bird did not survive. |
| |
 |
Souviens toi du temps.
The B side of the single is the most sophisticated F.R. David' song. |
| |
 |

Bright tomorrow.
Second single. The suffering of slavery. |

| |
 |
Louisa-Louisa.
Single written by Thomas & Rivat, that opened the doors of Italy to F.R. David, and the beginning of a great friendship with Antonio Marrapodi (a fool of Music). |
| |
 |
Le bonheur est un cerf-volant.
Adorned by the same team, F.R. David did not remember if the horse was involved. |
| |
 |
Bal joli bal.
A title difficult to bear, but, tired of war, (Polydor, and the authors of the text), F.R. David has sold. Result: his first significant record sales!… .. |
| |
 |
Fleur de satin.
The first time F.R. David was free as a singer and composer. Sir Geoffrey le sauveur an adaptation of the Bee Gees. An atmosphere marked "post hippy." |
| |
 |
Symphonie.
First solo single recorded in London with the best English musicians in the mythical studio of Cream (Eric clapton). Arrangement by M. Colombier. This single featured to be spent ten times a day on the radio, and sales have been ridiculous to the dismay of the company Polydor, which had anyway very badly done its job. |
| |
 |
Les Boots : Les gens sont méchants.
The single marks the end of les Boots for two reasons: Everybody was giving signals (even Eddy Mitchell) to F.R. David to make a solo career, he finally agreed to record a composition outside the band, "les gens sont méchants." Polydor also asked to be the band representing the brand of cosmetics "Twen-Twenty" which promised a real jackpot, but the money did mean nothing for them. |
| |
 |
Les Boots : Tout va bien.
These compositions were worked and performed during the summer where the band was committed to "Churascaïa" in Aigues Mortes in Camargue, in the middle of the bulls. In fact everything was going too well! F.R. David loved that year. |
| |
 |
Laissez briller le soleil.
Farid is the biggest part of this record; He pulled the band behind him, and brought professionalism. Joel Rives (defector from Ronnie Bird), joined to form this first band seriously, and very British, F.R. David still likes to listen. |
| |
 |
Les Trèfles : Sont ils innocents ?.
Jean Claude Barre (drums) and F.R. David were part of a amateur band "Ken Jones." After playing all summer in Corsica in Propriano, a small label discs (Consul) offers them a contract, the first one. Back in Paris, Farid playing with a half professional band (Médiators), told him: "give up your band, and with Jean Claude, let's become professionals". They recorded and mixed four titles in four hours. An exploit! |
